Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, microservices, and enterprise automation platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, REST API development, event-driven architecture, and data processing, along with experience in cloud-native technologies, CI/CD, and production support.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications and microservices for enterprise automation platforms.
• Build, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Develop and support Kafka-based event-driven integrations for real-time data processing and system communication.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, data pipelines, and data-processing logic using platforms such as Starburst and Trino.
• Work with Oracle, Hadoop, and related data technologies to support enterprise application and data integration requirements.
• Perform unit testing, code reviews, defect fixes, and root-cause analysis to ensure code quality and application reliability.
• Support application deployments, production releases, CI/CD pipelines, and post-deployment validation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to maintain platform stability, performance, and availability.
• Work with OpenShift, Redis, object storage, and cloud-native technologies to develop and maintain enterprise solutions.
• Develop and maintain workflow orchestration solutions using Apache Airflow or Astronomer, as required.
• Use Git-based version control, branching strategies, and release management practices to manage source code effectively.
• Participate in platform modernization, migration, and integration initiatives to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies to enhance developer productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, solution architects, developers, and partner teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Document technical designs, implementation approaches, deployment procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Take ownership of development deliverables and contribute to continuous improvement of the automation platform.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Python development.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data processing and query optimization.
• Experience with Starburst/Trino and familiarity with Oracle and Hadoop.
• Exposure to OpenShift, Redis, object storage, and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and software development best practices.
• Experience in application deployment, production support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative software development practices.
